Bread Not Bombs is about a peace for the 21st century that can only be obtained by advancing a social justice agenda. The theme throughout is that in the new world of 'globalization', peace, security, and development are interlinked and must be advanced simultaneously through an integrated agenda. The human crises in the world are so severe that urgent political attention is required. The agenda described can no longer be dismissed as 'idealistic'. The multiple crises in the world demand a higher form of politics.
